The Author, an American man, writes to a Russian lady:

“The women in my country have forgotten about some of the basic principles of love and marriage as I have heard and read your men have”.

 Isn’t it too judgmental? In both countries there are plenty of people who have NOT forgotten about the basic principles of love and marriage. So why lie and misinform friends?

“In America, women don’t always speak honestly, but usually their eyes betray them”. People in ANY country don’t always speak honestly, not just American women.

“I have grown very discouraged with American women and I have decided to look to Russia for my future wife. It seems to me that Russian women are much more faithful and committed to their mate than American women. Who knows, I could be wrong (you really ARE). The women in this country are concerned about one thing, what is in it for them. I have gone through two bad marriages and I do not want to go through the pain and frustration of another one”. The personality is what really matters, not the nationality.

For those of you who have been clients of online dating services and have been corresponding with virtual mates for some time, the next passage sounds familiar and annoying as its author obviously is buying time and waiting for more responses to come.

“I do not have much time to write and I will be traveling for the next week, so do not be disappointed if I do not write again for a while. I really like you and hope to see you soon! Your Friend and Admirer, Alex”.
